As announced earlier today an update to the ADT-1 Developer Preview is slowly rolling out via OTA now. This is still a preview primarily targeted at developers to enable them to build & test apps for Android TV with today's SDK release.
Note: As always with these OTA rollouts it will take a few days until all devices have received the update, thanks for your patience :)

I got to give my thoughts on gaming on #AndroidTV. I think it's going to be a pretty big deal. http://fortune.com/2014/10/16/android-tv-video-games-google/

I know there is a meme for this somewhere but… be assured the missing "Nexus 4" in the Lollipop update notice is just a mistake, we are fixing it now 🙂 Now please put down your pitchforks again and let's have some candy !

While most of my social feeds seem to discuss the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 already, I'm also very much looking forward to the Nexus Player going on sale:
"Finally, we’re releasing the first device running Android TV: Nexus Player, a collaboration with Asus, is a streaming media player for movies, music and videos. It's also a first-of-its-kind Android gaming device. With Nexus Player you can play Android games on your HDTV with a gamepad, then keep playing on your phone while you're on the road. Nexus Player is Google Cast Ready so you can cast your favorite entertainment from almost any Chromebook or Android or iOS phone or tablet to your TV."
There will be much more to hear from Android TV in the future, we are just getting started :)
